camping trip

Every fall we take to the woods as a youth community in our annual camping trip. The destinations may change, the fun never does. From caving, cliff jumping, community dodgeball, rope swings, waterfalls, hiking trails, cool landscapes, chill time, campfires, and good food. You never know what will happen from year to year.

Whether you are an experienced camper or have never been, you can make these trips. Our church family has a number of outdoorsman types that are happy to help with getting you fed, keeping you safe, and helping out with equipment needs. Bring your own stuff if you like. Tent camping or sleeping out under the stars is cool.

Camping Trip 2007!

For fall 2007 we will be taking to the woods of Rock Island State Park. RI is blessed with some great waterfalls and other scenery. Due to its set up people are able to swim in the river in some natural pools that are created due to the letting in and out of water from the local dam. There are other great items to get into in the area depending on time and what we feel like doing.

We will depart the church @ 7:30am on Saturday Sept 29th and return around 2pm on Sunday Sept 30th. The cost for the trip is $25. This covers your food and camping fees. Before leaving we need everyone to turn in their health and permissions form.

Friends are always welcome on trips. We just ask that you bring them by a time or two before so they know a little of the rhythm of how we do things, plus we know a bit more of who they are.
