theCorner eLetter : 10/13 : all Fall edition
Hey -
Hope those of you on fall break are enjoying your last day. To the rest of us, I hope this week brings some great promise, maybe a field trip to the apple store.
- Pumpkins Are Here! In case you didn't notice pumpkins are here and we selling. We need lots of help running the shifts, especially on Saturday. Sign up for open spots so that Erin & myself don't have to spend a full Saturday covering the patch. &:~)
- Pumpkin Drop: We are waiting on confirmation for our 2nd shipment of pumpkins (1/2 a truck). They have to coordinate with another church, so it isn't definite yet, but we are hoping for a drop this weekend.
- Eikon: Wednesdays at 6:30pm. We have two groups going, one on the practice of photography and the other centered around artistic/creative writing. Soon we hope to start up an Improv group with PastorMichael, so look for that.
- NWG Is back to the norm singing at the early services on the 19th & rehearsal at 4pm.
- CoffeeHouse Worship: "Indecision 2008" This weeks issue we will cover is the War & Violence. Sound off on your thoughts on War by texting answers to poll 1 & poll 2.
- Chrysalis: We will be having a special visit from the folks at the Nashville Chrysalis community on Sunday Oct. 19th @ 3pm. Chrysalis is a personal spiritual retreat for those wanting a deep next step in faith. It is a personal commitment (not a youth trip) but we will help to sponsor individuals if they wish to go.
- Drive Group: If have yet to experience one & would like to let me know, we will get you plugged in. It is a good time to jump into the youth community.
- "Thats so gay" is not okay. It is usually out of context, shows signs of laziness with language, and generally offensive. In the light of Doing No Harm and Do Good Think before you speak.
- You multi-tasking teens could be muddling your brains. I'm incapable of multi-tasking..
